The Autonomous Practice (theautonomouspractice.com) is operated by Gandalf and Guns, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). By using this website, our courses, downloads, live sessions, or emails, you agree to this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use.
PRIVACY POLICY
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, and any details you choose to share when you sign up, buy a product, register for a live session, reply to our emails, or order a custom greeter (including photos you send us).
- Purchase information: payments are processed by our platform and payment processors (Kajabi and its payment partners). We do not see or store your full card number.
- Course activity: the lessons you view and your progress, which our course platform records to deliver the course.
- Automatic information: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools used by our website platform.
- Conference leads: if you scanned your badge at our booth, we received your name, title, organization, and contact details from the event's lead retrieval service.
2. No patient information
Please do not send us protected health information (PHI) or any patient data, in any form. Our courses use made-up data only. We are not a covered entity or business associate for your practice, and our website, email, and course platform are not designed to receive PHI.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver courses, downloads, live sessions, and products you request
- To send you emails about our courses, lessons, and related offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To improve our website and content
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our course and website platform (Kajabi), payment processors, email delivery, video meeting tools (for live sessions), and, if you order a custom greeter, the video tool used to create it. They may use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on this site and in our emails are affiliate links, including links to Keragon. If you sign up through them, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner's own privacy policy governs what you share with them.
6. Cookies
Our website platform uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, process purchases, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
7. Email
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed. We will still send transactional messages about purchases or your account.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and certain other U.S. states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is perfectly secure.
10. Children
Our courses and products are for adults working in healthcare. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
TERMS OF USE
11. Educational purpose only
This is educational material only. It describes what I did in my own practice. It is not legal, technical, or medical advice. Any changes you make to your own systems are at your own risk and should be made under the guidance of your own legal and technical advisors.
Nothing on this site creates a physician-patient, attorney-client, or consulting relationship. Results described, including any revenue or savings figures, are from one practice and are not a promise or prediction of your results.
12. Your account and access
You must be at least 18 to use our courses or buy our products. You are responsible for keeping your login private. Course access is for you personally and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.
13. Our content
All course videos, lessons, templates, downloads, and other materials belong to us or our licensors. When you buy or enroll, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use them in your own practice. You may not copy, resell, publish, or share them, or use them to create a competing course or product.
14. Third-party tools
Our lessons show third-party software (for example, Keragon, ChatGPT, Doximity, and others). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, pricing, security, or HIPAA compliance. Review their terms and sign any required Business Associate Agreements yourself before using them with real data.
15. Purchases and refunds
- Digital downloads: because they are delivered immediately, all sales are final once the files have been accessed. If a file does not work, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
- Custom greeter (done for you): you may cancel for a full refund before we begin work. Once production begins, refunds are at our discretion.
- Free course: no charge.
Prices may change. No current product renews automatically. If we ever offer a subscription, its renewal terms will be shown clearly next to the purchase button.
16. Custom greeter likeness
If you order a custom greeter, you confirm that you have the right to use every image you send us, and written permission from any adult who appears in it. Our separate Image and Likeness Permission, accepted at checkout, also applies.
17. Live sessions
Live sessions may be recorded and later used as course lessons. If you do not want to appear, keep your camera and microphone off and use the chat. Do not share patient information or other confidential information during a session.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our content and products are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of our materials or of any third-party tool. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas.
20. Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
